Thanks for stopping by My Chick Flick: Date Night 1st edition. Please feel free to play along. The rules are posted on the Date Night page. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I will be checking in off and on, but will be leaving for vacation sometime in the middle of the day. I hope Date Night adds a little more romance to your life.
A few weeks ago, before we had 5 or 6 kids with us every where we went, we stole about an hour away from the world. I called Scott on his way home from work and told him that I had dinner ready and I would be by to pick him up about 10 minutes after he made it home.
Scott and I drove down to the lake and found a deserted picnic table. I had a lovely piece of polka “spotted” material that I used for a make shift table cloth, and 2 Mason jars of cold sweet tea. The dinner consisted of grilled chicken breasts, pasta salad and fire and ice salad. For dessert there were many long kisses under the sunset.
In the past we would go out for dinner for a date, but this one was special. Overlooking the water and sitting under the trees created such an atmosphere of romance that we couldn’t stop smiling. It was very intimate, especially with Scott finding a love song channel on Sirius radio. For a little more romance I brought along some tea light candles, but it was getting late and it was not quite dark enough for the candles when we arrived.
Now go post your last date night story, or and idea for a date night. Be creative and come back and link here. Please visit the other links and comment, everyone loves comments.
